Around a week and a half ago, we found out we’ve been successful in securing funding from Arts Council England to support our Outpost season in 2015.  We’ll once again be working with Urban Splash and the Barbican Theatre to turn a space in the Royal William Yard into a pop-up theatre venue, programming a three week season of exciting new theatre.

Our 2015 Outpost season will run from Monday 12th – Saturday 31st October.  By moving the season back one week we’ll be finishing with the October half-term week which means we’ll be including family shows into our season to allow slightly smaller people (and their parents) to experience some incredible theatre.

Once again we’ll be commissioning work from South West-based companies, this year with three £800 commissions on offer to create work which will premiere alongside some incredible touring shows at Outpost.  More information about how to send in a proposal will be available in due course but, if you add yourself to our mailing list, then you’ll be the first to know!

We’ll keep you updated as things move forward (we’ve only just got past the excitement of being able to do this again and into the realities of planning the beast) but, to tempt you, we’ve included some pictures of Tom and Dan going down to reccie the space which we’ll be turning into Outpost this Autumn.

Thanks go to Urban Splash, Barbican Theatre, Plymouth Culture and Arts Council England for allowing us to develop Outpost even further and curate another exciting season for Plymouth audiences.

Let’s do this!  #NMTOutpost
