New Year New BETA

We’ve been a little quiet recently (especially in comparison to the two months we spent positively bellowing about Outpost) and it’s likely to stay that way for the next month or so.

As usual though, we’re working on some rather ambitious plans behind the scenes all which will be revealed not too far into 2015!

Last December we held a BETA Christmas Special at The Lab, Theatre Royal Plymouth where those of you attended were generous enough to respond extremely well to our call out for donations to the Plymouth Food Bank.  We didn’t hold a BETA event this December (our next event is at Plymouth University’s The House on Wednesday 21st December).  If you’d like to start the New Year by spreading a bit of similar warmth then you can find out how to donate food or money to the Plymouth Foodbank at www.plymouthfoodbank.co.uk

Thank you so much to everyone who’s supported New Model Theatre in any way over the past year, it’s been phenomenal the things we’ve been able to achieve and none of it would be possible without such a generous audience.

As mentioned above, we’ll be holding our next BETA at The House, Plymouth University on Wednesday 21st January 2015. It’ll be the first event to feature Guest Curators, a new addition for 2015, in the form of performance company Blasted Fiction who’ll be hosting the evening in their own inimitable style. If you’re a theatre maker and would like to bring some work to BETA then please get in touch at beta@newmodeltheatre.com.

Happy New Year!
