We’ve got a day until our pop-up theatre, Outpost, opens at Royal William Yard but that does’t mean we’ve not got our eyes on the next thing! Below are a couple of opportunities, a chance to share work at Outpost as part of the last BETA of 2014 and a casting call-out for our next show.
Outpost will be hosting the eighth edition of our monthly scratch night, BETA on Wednesday 15th October. As always, we’re inviting companies or artists with work-in-progress pieces they’d like to share to get in touch and share their work with an audience. This is a fantastic opportunity to share work at Outpost as well as at the last BETA of 2014. After the Wednesday 15th October event, we’ll be taking two months off before returning in January 2015 with a new and improved BETA at a new, third venue.
We’re looking for a female actor with a playing age of between 20 and 30 to join the team as part of Stieg, a new show we’ll be developing as part of the MolinoGroup’s Art:Weapon season at The Bike Shed Theatre. Stieg is a new play based on the life of Swedish crime novelist Stieg Larsson.
A scratch performance of Stieg will take place on Tuesday 4th November before a more developed version of the show is performed on Tuesday 18th and Saturday 22nd November. After this initial research and development period we hope to tour a full production of the show in Spring 2015, funding dependant.
More about the show, and the casting process, can be found in the call-out below.
Finally, we’ll be launching Outpost tomorrow evening at The Royal William Bakery, Royal William Yard. Come along and enjoy the festivities from 7pm!
