We’re excited to announce that Parliament Town will return this July as part of Theatre Royal Plymouth‘s Forge season. Forge will take over TRP’s new studio space The Lab for Fridays and Saturdays from 5th July until 2nd August.
New Model Theatre’s Parliament Town will be performed on Saturday 19th July at 8pm in the intimate space of The Lab. The show, performed by Plymouth-based actor Liam Salmon, premiered to a packed house at Exeter’s Ignite Festival this June. Originally commissioned by Paines Plough and Theatre Royal Plymouth, Parliament Town is a story of our mixed feelings towards our hometowns and in particular, Plymouth. It follows two young men, both trapped in their provincial town, one by Civil War siege and the other by economic downturn.
BETA6 will provide a fitting send-off to the inaugural Forge season by providing emerging South West theatre companies and artists the opportunity to share their future work and giving audiences the chance to shape future-shows.
To apply to share a piece of work, email email@example.com by Friday 18th July.
