If you saw our tweet the other day then you may be aware that we had some amazing news at the end of last week. Arts Council England, through their Grants for the Arts programme, will be supporting further development and a 2014 tour of Static.
This will give us the time and resources to learn from our performances earlier this year and create an even better production to hit the road with in 2014. It will also allow us, among other things, to recruit a producer to improve the reach of the show and a video artist to create beautiful projections to accompany the performance.
We’ll again also be supported by the Barbican Theatre, Plymouth through their artist development programme; Flourish and will rehearse in their lovely building on the idyllic Plymouth waterfront.
Although a few of the dates are still to be finalised, we are really proud to be opening the show on 4th February 2014 with a two week run at The Space Arts Centre, Isle of Dogs. If you’re an extremely organised London-based type, you can book an early-bird ticket at http://space.org.uk. We’ll also be bringing the show back to where it all began at our home venue as well as heading to the Wardrobe Theatre, Bristol among others.
If you’d like to keep up to date with how preparation for the tour is going, as well as hearing about new work we’re developing, then we’d love it if you’d join our mailing list below!
