You can now book to come along to BETA, our brand new artist-led Scratch Night in The Lab, Theatre Royal Plymouth. Although we’re still putting the final touches to the line-up, it’s sure to be a pretty exciting evening with some really interesting and varied work being shared.
Spaces are free and can be booked through Brown Paper Tickets at betaplymouth.brownpapertickets.com.
If you’ve missed it previously then you can find some more information about the ethos behind BETA below.
BETA is about sharing. Sharing space, sharing time, sharing ideas. On 23rd November we’ll be taking over Theatre Royal Plymouth’s brand new studio space ‘The Lab’ and have invited theatre and performance makers from across Plymouth and the South West to come and share something with us. This might be an initial idea for a new piece of work, it might be an extract from a near-complete piece of performance or it may simply be a discussion of what they do as an artist.
We’re currently putting the final touches to the programme for the evening but it’s safe to say it’s going to be an extremely exciting and varied night of work-in-progress theatre and performance. Capacity for BETA is extremely limited so please only reserve a space if you are certain you are able to attend.
The aim is to get people talking and, in doing so, begin to cultivate a more integrated performance community in Plymouth. Should this first event be successful, we hope it might be the first of many.
