We’d like to see Plymouth moving, creatively speaking, and so we’re inviting theatre makers from Plymouth and the South West to come and join us for an evening of sharing in Theatre Royal Plymouth‘s new studio space The Lab. More details below…
BETA is about sharing. Sharing space, sharing time, sharing ideas. On 23rd November we’ll be taking over Theatre Royal Plymouth’s brand new studio space ‘The Lab’ and inviting theatre and performance makers from across Plymouth and the South West to come and share something with us. This might be an initial idea for a new piece of work, it might be an extract from a near-complete piece of performance or it may simply be a chance to talk about what you do as an artist. Whatever it is you want to bring along, from a seated script-reading to an ensemble piece of physical theatre, let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate it.
The aim is to get people talking and, in doing so, begin to cultivate a more integrated performance community in Plymouth. Should this first event be successful, we hope it might be the first of many. If you wish to attend without bringing along a piece of work then details of how to RSVP will be available shortly.
BETA is about ideas and potential more than polished performances, technical support will be limited but will include a projector and simple, adaptable lighting rig. If you would like to bring something to share at BETA on 23rd November then please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please feel free to spread the word among anyone you think might be interested in bringing something to BETA. You can download a BETA e-flyer below.
