March 1st saw us bring Static out in to the light for the first time as a Work In Progress performance with the Barbican Theatre, Plymouth’s Flourish Programme. We learnt a lot from putting the piece in front of an audience, who were also kind enough to provide us with some brilliant feedback.
Over the last week, 4th – 9th March, we were granted a week’s development space by the Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter’s In Your Space programme. This allowed us to build on what we learnt from our WIP and experiment with the direction the piece is going in. On Saturday we shared a very different version of Static with a small audience at the Bike Shed, again ending with vital feedback that will feed the process from here on in.
With a few months until our first ‘proper’ performances we are in a strong position to have a brilliant show to tour. We thank all who have supported us by coming along to these showings and letting us know what they thought. Hopefully we’ll see you in the Summer with the finished product!
Special thanks also go to Mark, Jamie and all at the Barbican Theatre, as well as Chloe who co-ordinates the In Your Space programme at the Bike Shed. We really appreciate and value your support.
